Taking life for granted... so cliche i know

So i'm taking this classes called realities of inequalities at UWB and its basically a class about looking at the inequalities of certain groups of immigrants. Its a very interesting class because it just puts life into perspective. Today a women who immigrated from India came and told us her personal story of what it was like to immigrate from India to the United States. and her story of how she felt and what she went through was so amazing. People immigrate from other countries to the United States for various reasons; persecution, more opportunity and the lack of security one family could feel in other countries. The everyday life of others in different parts of this world maybe way different from everyday life here. Its just a lot to take in when you are set in someone elses' shoes and just to see the difficulties they go through from day to day.
It makes me really appreciate living in the United States, especially after hearing about persecutions that go on in other countries.
It is just something to think or ponder about... here we talk about the everyday life but looking at things in a bigger perspective we see that the everyday life can be so diverse depending on the person. but yeah.. i just thought i throw that out there.
